The new engine that graced the 2013 model year 144cc was a massive step forward in performance over the older generation 144cc powerplant, the latest generation 144cc engine is latest to follow up on the hugely successful 125cc TMEES engine and now the 144cc engine too has the same electronic powervalve system that has proven to be a great step in 2-Stroke performance. This latest 144cc TMEES engine featured new crankcases, new cylinder, new cylinder head, new reed position, a revised piston assembly, new main bearings supporting the also new billet machined crankshaft, new intake system with a new filter cage, intake boot and carb manifold, a new exhaust system with a HGS silencer and to compliment the new engine we also have new Cdi mapping and carburetion settings. For 2014 only minor changes have been made to the already well proven 2013 engine configuration, these include a revised cylinder configuration, new TMEES pulley and cable system and some alterations to fuelling specifically tailored to the enduro discipline allowing for a broader power output than the MX counterpart. Other changes include new suspension settings, the new KYB fork fitted as standard, a new triple clamp design and a fresh new look to the decals scheme with a new seat cover.
